Right from the
start (1990), All of Capcom's releases on the SFC were of the
highest quality. Taking popular arcade games and IMPROVING them for
the SFC was their trademark, so how did this poor arcade turn out to
be an even POORER translation to the SFC?.
The problem is it should never have been translated onto the SFC, as
the original so so dull and boring!!!. Capcom have straight ported
over this platform slash-em-up and added NOTHING in the translation.
While the graphics and sound are up to Capcom's usual standard, this
is their first game where playability sucks. Boring, linear levels,
frustrate and annoy, but it's the horrible slow down that is
unforgivable and makes playing this such a task!!! There may be 50
levels, but level 50 is exactly the same as level 1, plus it's all
so easy, you'll complete it in a days play and probably never return
to it!
Is this really by the same development team who brought us Final
Fight, Ghouls 'n' Ghosts, Area 88 and of course SFII?? Unfortunately
YES!!!
A surprisingly bad Capcom release!!!
