The
problem of 60Hz NTSC was a huge one for the average European PAL
Super Famicom owner in the early 90's
Unlike today (almost all Pal TV's have a 60Hz option) PAL tv's only
had one RF connection and it didn't allow import console
connections.
Having a pre-wired SFC from an importer was an option, but this
still needed a Scart TV and even then, often the SFC would run in
Black and White.
So thankfully a company from Taiwan invented the Super
Famicom Pal Booster, for all European and Australian SFC owners.
Basically what this does when you plug it into the back of
your SFC, is converts the Super Famicom's signal from NTSC to PAL,
and even through a basic RF lead gives you perfect colour output
(even full screen and 60Hz if your tv supports this) No need for
unreliable converters or illegally wired SFC's. This Pal Booster is
a MUST own for all SFC owners in Pal areas (unfortunately it is VERY
hard to find nowadays).
No need to open up your SFC, just plug it in and play! Superb
