SWANSEA VALLEY PROBUS CLUB
What is a Probus Club ?
All over the World there are men who have led busy lives in responsible positions and are now retired. Many find that they miss the contacts and, sometimes, even the pressures of their business lives. Probus clubs have been founded, in their thousands, to meet some of the needs of such men. (The term Probus was coined from Professional-Business.)
These clubs meet regularly, in our case on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. Most of our meetings take place at 10.30 am in the Royal Oak Hotel, Rhydyfro, Pontardawe. We have coffee and listen to a speaker. The atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed and we have many excellent speakers. On other occasions, we visit places of interest or have lunch together.
If you are retired or semi-retired and feel that you might like to join the club, contact our secretary Denis Treadgold. There is no joining fee and the annual subsciption is only £5.00.
