WELSH CHAMPIONSHIPS 2010

MARCH 6TH & 7TH

ABERYSTWYTH - QUIZ AND MEAL ON SATURDAY EVENING

SATURDAY - MEDIUM LENGTH - HAFOD ESTATE (Yellow, Orange, Green, Blue and Brown courses for all age classes)

SUNDAY - CLASSIC WELSH CHAMPIONSHIPS at NANT YR ARIAN FOREST CENTRE (All age classes on courses ranging from White to Black level).

Information

The Hafod estate is one of the least known but most beautiful places in Wales. It was founded by Thomas Johnes in the 18th century and was central to the Romantic movement of the time. It is criss-crossed with scenic walks and contains the River Ystwyth in its midst. The courses, of medium length, will be through a mixture of ancient deciduous woodland and mixed conifer forest. The planner promises a "mostly downhill" selection of courses!"

Nant yr Arian has a modern visitor centre and café alongside the A44 Aberystwyth road. The forests contain a variety of conifers but most courses will also include open running on the hills beyond the forest limits. Expect a full range of challenges, while Cardigan Bay should be glittering in the afternoon sun!

More updates as they arrive.
