Kevin Mayer Is a 21st century renaissance man

Computer maven by day, club owner by night--Kevin Mayer's got it all covered. The Midwest-born, globe-trotting SAP systems consultant has lived in Brazil, Ireland, Puerto Rico, Barbados and Greece. He speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese and never met a foreign assignment he didn't like. But he's showing signs of settling in Jacksonville. "I've never owned a thing in my life and I bought a condo at The Plaza at Berkman Place," he says. "I'm committed to making this a success." 'This' is Endo Exo, the ultra-hot San Marco nightclub he owns with a friend from his country-hopping days. Mayer came to the River City to take an SAP consulting gig with the Duval County School Board and contacted his friend, who had invested in a club. The next thing Mayer knew, he was configuring software by day and booking music acts by night. "We attract older people who know how to dress for a night out and who want to enjoy themselves," he says. "This isn't a teeny-bopper club."

Best thing about wearing a skirt? "The freedom a skirt allows and the amazing looks you receive. Who knows what they're thinking? At first it's uncomfortable [the looks], but then you think, who cares?"

Best thing about reading Skirt!? "The magazine is laid out very well and the writing is very trendy--a lot like our club Endo Exo."
