Good Taste

Skirting

man in a kilt Forget shorts this summer. Go girly - in a skirt. Terribly Monarch of the Glen ! But kilts don't need to be all traditional, folk like those at Australian label, Claude Maus (right), have given the kilt a makeover - no tartans in sight.

You can even take the concept down a notch in the formality stakes and skew Pacific - it's as easy as a length of bright floral fabric, and cheap as chips.

And on that theme, I'm picking that within a season or two we'll be seeing the tapa-inspired kilt on more than the odd catwalk.
