WHAT'S A NICE KID LIKE YOU DOIN' IN A PLACE LIKE THIS THE SOUNDTRACK ALBUM This album was released in 1966 on the HBR label (Hannah Barbera Records) and contains all the songs from the animated feature in their fullest form. The cast recreated their film performances with the exception of Sammy Davis Junior who was replaced with Scatman Crothers. The music and lyrics were by Charles Strouse and Lee Adams, with musical arrangements by Marty Paitch and Hoyt Curtin. The album on sale here is the original 12" vinyl LP and is extremely rare. Condition of the cover is reasonable, albeit somewhat scuffed with the edges starting to split. The word "Prep" has been written in the top right hand corner in marker pen. The album itself is well played, with scuffing and light scratches on the surface and is not in the best of condition. This is more of a collectors item than something to be played. ITEM SOLD

Alice In Wonderland - starring Jane Asher

Fantastic double-CD re-issue of this classic production housed in a DVD-style case. Both CD's are picture discs with colour artwork. This is a limited unbranded edition. The CDs are unplayed and in brand new condition. Alice In Wonderland starring Jane Asher with an excellent supporting cast of other British actors. The production dates from 1958 and tells the whole "Wonderland" story. This double CD is in good quality stereo, given the age of the source material. CD-1 covers the story from Alice seeing the White Rabbit for the first time, up to the Duchess and the baby section and ending with Alice's conversation with the Cheshire Cat. CD-2 continues from that point, Alice meets the Mad Hatter, plays croquet with the Queen, talks to the Gryphon and Mock Turtle and then attends the trial of the Knave of Hearts. The production lasts around 80 minutes and, though dramatised, remains very faithfull to Lewis Carroll's original dialogue. ALICE IN WONDERLAND starring GINGER ROGERS

10" vinyl LP Story with songs and sound effects and music. "Alice" played by Ginger Rogers with supporting cast.

This AIW version was produced specifically for release as a sound recording. Initially on a set of three 78rpm records on the Decca label in 1944, it was re-released in 1950 in 7" 45 rpm format and as a 10" LP. The cover art was by Walt Disney, and almost seems to be a preliminary sketch for the 1951 animated movie. In fact Walt Disney was considering an 'Alice' movie in 1944, with famous hoofer, Ginger Rogers, playing the lead. This is the 10" vinyl LP version and, to quote the rear cover, "The heroine of a hundred motion pictures triumphs in her new and most endearing role: the Eternal Child". The LP here is in almost perfect condition. The cover has some very slight scuffing towards the bottom and on the edges but is otherwise excellent. The surface of the LP is unmarked without scratches or scuffs and looks unplayed. This is therefore a very rare collectors item and is in tip top condition. ITEM SOLD

Fiona Fullerton in "Alice's Adventures In Wonderland" souvenir booklet

This is an excellent collectors item from the musical film "Alice's Adventures In Wonderland", starring Fiona Fullerton, Michael Crawford, Peter Sellers, Dudley Moore, Spike Milligan, Robert Helpmann, Sir John Gielgud and many more. The booklet is A4 size with 34 internal pages in full colour throughout and containing one hundred full colour production photographs, including five A4 size portraits.    Most of the stills are production stills, not "grabs" from the film, and include scenes shot but not actually used in the film itself. Most of these shots have never appeared anywhere else and therefore have a rarity value.    The booklet includes the "Alice" story, production notes from the film and biographies of the main stars. Condition is excellent with just a little scuffing on the outside cover.     PRICE $25 plus $8.00 shipping to the USA/Canada/worldwide via air mail or $2.50 if within the UK or Europe.
