Annie Louise emerges with her bag of 'Alice' goodies - she's now 'been there, done that and got the T-shirt'. The carrier bag has a fine reproduction of Tenniel's "Sheep Shop" illustration. Notice that he reversed the shop so that everything is the other way round. Well, it is 'Looking Glass' land, isn't it?
Well, just time for a few poses outside for the tourists (the Japanese ones thought she was Alice!), then it's across the road to explore the Christchurch grounds and look at a very suspicious looking little door leading into a beautiful garden!

Finding Alice's shop isn't too difficult. From the city centre, walk down St Aldate's keeping Christchurch on your left and look for the gold-painted signposts! Pause for a moment at the first one to look up at Lewis Carroll's window, then carry on down the street. Go past the front entrance of the Christchurch building, find the second sign and follow it as far as the iron gates which would lead into the gardens. The shop is directly opposite on the other side of St Aldate's at Number 83.

The shop has too many items to list here but, inevitably, it has a website where you can see 'Alice' merchandise and order by email. You can get to their site from the LINKS PAGE.
