The game begins with a nightmarish intro movie, the events of which are so disturbing to Alice, that we next see her asylum-housed and catatonic. It's while in this state that she returns to Wonderland . . . a Wonderland that isn't quite how she left it. The Red Queen, with the help of the Duchess, has turned it into a place of oppression and darkness. Alice must put it right. Her path through this off-kilter world mirrors that of her original journey after following the white rabbit down the hole, but the real sense of evil that permeates this new Wonderland soon makes it clear that her journey will be no picnic.
