Team Spectrum Kite Display Team

Bryan and Carl (Team Spectrum) is a father and son kite display team who have over the past twelve years displayed their skills as a 'Pairs' kite display team based in Ipswich, predominately displaying at kite festivals usually in East Anglia and the South of England.

We mainly fly two line sports kites in a demonstration of synchronized kite flying choreographed to a musical accompaniment.Team Spectrum click for display photographsTeam Spectrum click for display photographs

Depending on wind conditions, during our pairs routines and Carl's solo displays we will attach up three sets of 35M tails to our kites which adds another dimension to the displays.

Carl breaks away to fly solo routines using up to three 2 line sports kites flown totally independantly in synchronisation.

Carl's multiple kite flying display is done by the use of two control bars with the third kite connected to a body harness around his waist.

Our kites are mostly 2 line precision sports kites some of which are custom built. These Include the North Shore Radical, Matrix, Fury, Prism Prophecy & Zephyr, Spectra Sports (Reactor Pro, Nuclear Reactor) & Rare Air (Expression, Air Devil) kites......
