St
Mabyn Pre-School is a small, happy village setting for children aged 2-5.
We meet in the Village Hall at the heart of historic St Mabyn near Wadebridge.
Our motto is Learning Is Fun: we aim to provide an intimate, quality experience
for children.
Children may come to as many or as few of our weekly sessions as they
like. Here are our session times:
Mondays: morning session 9.10am-12.10pm, followed by an afternoon session
12.10pm-3.10pm.
Tuesdays: morning session 9.10am-12.10pm
Wednesdays: morning session 9.10am-12.10pm followed by a lunch club until
1.10pm (additional £3)
Thursdays: morning session 9.10am-12.10pm
Fridays: no pre-school
Children are entitled to 15 hours a week (i.e. a full week's sessions)
funded by the Government. This comes into effect the term after their
third birthday. Children younger than three pay £6 per session.
All children pay to attend the lunch club, which is optional.
Our qualified childcare team
concentrates on providing a fun, stimulating, and laid-back environment.
Typical activities include arts and crafts, singing, sand and water play,
and running around outdoors in the playground on the village green. We
have field trips to nearby locations such as Cardinham Woods and Pencarrow
House, and we do fun stuff at holidays like a mini-Christmas pageant and
Easter egg hunt.
We are a registered charity run by a parent committee. Our supervisor
is Angela Brown, who has more than 10 years’ experience with pre-school
age children, as well as being a mother of two. Some social fundraising
activities take place year-round, such as barbeques and quiz nights.
If you are interested in joining, please feel free to stop by a session
any time. Alternatively, we are happy to mail you an information pack.
