Goldoni’s classic is based on Italian renaissance Commedia Dell’Arte,
and in this modern adaptation it sizzles with pace, dazzle, theatricality
and contemporary humour.
Truffaldino, a hapless servant, is inadvertently taken into employment
by two ‘masters’….one of which is a woman disguised as her own
brother, who was killed in a duel by her boyfriend - Truffaldino’s other master…
But how long can he get away with the scam of dividing himself between two bosses, before he’s found out…?!
