In
June the company will present Shakespeare’s most enduring
- and endearing – comedy, in the open air at Falmouth’s
Events Square, as part of the inaugural Fal River Festival. Twelfth
Night has disguise, mistaken identity and romance - as Olivia
falls for ‘Cesario’, who is really Viola - a woman,
disguised as a man, and who is really in love with Duke Orsino
– himself in love with…Olivia - herself admired by
Malvolio…. Will it all get sorted out in the end? Of course
it will, but along the way, enjoy the manic clowning of Feste
(here played as a comic double act), some delightful dance - choreographed
by Anne Lazenby and Lula Russell - and some sublime music, written
especially for this production by composer Martin Bills.
Twelfth
Night is directed by Derek Ross and will be performed in-the-round
in a purpose-built seated auditorium on the waterfront, in front
of the National Maritime Museum.
