Each week the training varies but during a
typical class and following a warm up session, you practice
basic techniques including blocks, kicks, punches and strikes.
A Jiu Jitsu segment where you will try your hand at throws
and locks. Followed by Kata - which are pre-arranged sequences
of movements that help to develop strength, confidence, technique
and timing. The syllabus is very varied so you won't get bored!
The training is suitable for both men, women
and children. The Instructors also welcome students from other
styles/clubs interested in widening their knowledge by cross
training.
We meet every Thursday night starting from
8-00 pm and finishing at 10-00 pm. Held at Brooklands Residents
Association Main Hall, Garden Leys (which is off Brooklands
Drive) Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. Postcode. There is
ample car parking space. For full directions see
Contact us.
As the Club is non-profit making, class fees
are currently £3.00 per person per session. Membership
is £20.00 per year.
Why not give it a try? You have nothing to
lose except a bit of weight perhaps and after a short time
you will start to gain fitness, flexibility and confidence
and hey if it gets you away from your Television Set or the
Pub for a couple of hours then it has to be doing some good!
