Links: (www.fotopic.net) Wednesday January 14th
2004. I am going to visit the school
today. There are a lot more people going this time, and
instead of a minibus, we have a big coach. We arrived at the school
around lunchtime and were met at the entrance by Jai, the
teacher I had met at the Children`s Day Festival, and some
of the children. We were led by the children
through the school gates to a wide open space surrounded on
3 sides by low buildings. We entered a large hall that
had tables and chairs and a big stage, here we ate our
packed lunches. After lunch we were
entertained by the school`s orchestra, who were very good.
As you can see from the
photograph, many of the musical instruments are different
from those you may have in your school. Then the school choir sang
some songs for us - in English - and we were all encouraged
to join in with songs like "Old McDonald`s Farm".
