Presenting the cheque at St Nicholas Church, Arundel

"The Alternatives" chose to nominate "Worthing Churches Homeless Projects" as their charity for the year, 2010. As a result of this, the charity was to receive a proportion of the funds raised by the band throughout the year. Recently, we were pleased to be able to present a cheque to the charity in the sum of £1000.

Louise Brooks (right), representating the charity, is seen here receiving the cheque from (left to right) drummer, Nigel Constable and lead vocalists, Gerry Kelsey and John Prideau, in St Nicholas Church, Arundel. Other funds raised by the band will go to support the work of St Nicholas Church itself, our on-going charity and "home" to the band. Please view the page "Our Charities" for futher information regarding our support for local charities.

There is never a shortage of good causes to support, however, the band would be pleased to receive details from local charities of their work (click here to e-mail). Whilst we cannot offer a guarantee that this will result in a donation, it would help us to make a better informed choice of our charity focus for the years ahead.
