ANNOUNCEMENT

As presaged in the last Newsletter, I propose that this is the last Newsletter you will receive in its current form.

The reasons are many, but increasingly common – you will have had similar communications from other organisations and utility providers:

1. It takes me up to a couple of hours every two months to compose and print this page, print it, print envelopes, unjam the printer, stuff and lick envelopes, apply stamps, update the accounts ledger with these expenses, and go to the pillar box. I then spend around 10 minutes updating our website.

2. Up to around 40% of our expenditure relates to the newsletter process. This money could be better spent on advertising and/or social events. Suggestions welcome, as always.

3. I plan to update our website at least once a month, sending out an e-mail to alert you to this. I will also send reminders when subscription renewals are due. I believe that only one of our current members does not have regular access to a computer.

	LANGUAGE MEETINGS All language meetings below are held at: The Oxford Spires Four Pillars Hotel, Abingdon Road, Oxford 8 -10 pm (unless otherwise specified) French meetings are generally held on the SECOND and FOURTH Tuesdays of each month, and Spanish meetings on the FIRST and THIRD Tuesdays. Italian occasionally, as announced.
