The whole EP has itch and Dig Deep written all over it. 'Living Beat' is a lovely upbeat nu jazz floor mover that is packed full of wicked instrumentation and great vocals - seriously brilliant, this is the kind of thing love! 'Kiss of Kali' has quality vocals and a smooth laid back jazz vibe that is perfect for lazy summer days and late nights in the bars. The Nekta remix flips 'Kiss of Kali' on its head by dropping a techy house groove that keeps some of the live elements and reminds me of Dennis Ferrier and Kerri Chandler - a fine club cut. Patchworks take 'Living Beat' down the Philly soul path ala Teddy Pendergrass ensuring this will go down a storm with the northern soul crew, whilst also appealing to the disco lovers, making this another gem. A great EP all round, definitely one for heavy rotation!

Mop Mop "...a bastard performance of modern jazz based on riffs looped till

Mop Mop is the brainchild of Andrea Benini, musician, producer, dj who has been
active for more than ten years exploring a large variety of musical genres, from
club to jazz music., "Kiss of Kali" is the name of his second album which will
be released on INFRACom in September 2008., This 5 track vinyl teaser kicks off
with two remixes. "Living Beat" is remixed by french multi producer Bruno Hovard
aka Patchwork who is responsible for successful projects like "Metropolitan Jazz
Affair", "The Dynamics" and "Mr Day" to name a few. This time he delivers a
philly inspired boogie remix of the jazzy original by Mop mop, just the right
feeling to welcome the summer. INFRACom! artist Nekta how recently delivered
songs for the tv series of "Las Vegas" and "Gossip girls" did a remix of "Kiss
of Kali" which is based on some heavy filtered kettle drums, the horns from the
original and a percussive four to the floor beat They transforms the song
orientated original into a deep floor shaker. The originals on the flip side
will introduce three titles from the up-coming full length album "Kiss of Kali".
