If you thought their version of Sexual Healing was a one off you are very much mistaken.
Straight from New Orleans, Louisianna, this ten members strong Brass Band formed in 1995. Coming to the attention of attention Quantic who brought them to attention of the world when he started playing their version of the Marvin Gaye classic. Rob Luis heard it and set about signing them to Tru Thoughts, Gilles Peterson got on it and the rest as they say is history.Every track is a winner on this fantastic LP, where original gems rub shoulders with covers of classics by the likes of Frankie Beverly, and each track is as explosive as the last. This will get lapped up by everyone from the old funk and soul collectors to those loving the horn filled sound of party favourite James Brown.
Up there with the very best, this is a future classic that you will keep going back to for years and years.
