A Concert in the Park

SOE where approached by a big Rock Star, Johnny Silverhand to provide some
muscle for a task he needed doing. When Ulrich Klinsman (PhilJ) heard they
would be working for 'Johnny' he started to get all excited by the prospect.

Johnny explained that his girlfriend Alt, a Hot Netrunner (Guy D Fautevil
(Graham) starts to get excited) had been kidnapped by Arraska. He then showed 
a picture of her to the team (all the rest of the lads get excited). Johnny 
says he has arranged to meet some contacts in a bar down town who should be 
able to find out where she is been held.

When they arrive at the Bar Johnny introduces his contacts to the Party (a
good-looking girl and a bloke). Ulrich, Mr Zee (PJ), Lee 'Mitchell' Kerr
(DaveG), Lisa Knight (NPC) and Johnny sit at the table with the contacts while
the rest of the guys spread them selves round the bar. Mr Zee tries to chat up
the girl.

Soon after new guys start drifting into the bar and hang round in-groups as
though waiting for something to happen. Do the lads suspect anything, do they
hell (this was their first CyberPunk adventure so they were not as paranoid as
they were later were to become, see later 'the toilet incident').

The Lads at the table are approached by two guys, the first man of which informs
them "we do not want any trouble, Just give us Johnny". Lee informs them that
'Johnny was staying with them'. This conversation went on for a small while.

The guy doing the talking suddenly went for his gun but Mr Zee had already
switched on his speedware and beat him to the draw. Bam, the guy was taken out
and all hell broke loose. A lot of incoming fire was aimed at the booth the guys
were in. All the people in the Bar who had wondered in just before the talker
were bad guys! The rest of the lads spread round the bar with the advantage of
surprise mowed down the bad guys from behind. There was one bit of action with
one of the lads (Ruud Kraak (Sukh)?) on one side of the bar counter shooting at
a bad guy on the other side of the counter. This went on for quite a while.

Ulrich who had taken no damage so far was hit in the centre of the back by a
rocket round fired by Guy De Fautevil from his rocket pistol. This was not
observed by anyone, maybe an accident, maybe German/French relationships,
something personal, whatever the reason Guy did not own up to this.

The last of the bad guys started to pull a retreat into the ally behind the bar
closely pursued by Lee, Rudd and Jimmy 'The Tech' Nagasaki (Rich). They chase
the guys down the ally when there transport arrives, an AV-4 with twin Auto
cannon!!

It starts to lay down covering fire on to the lads but luckily for Lee who was
in the open it missies him and blows away the doorway where Rudd and Jimmy were
cowering from this hailstorm of cannon fire. They return fire at the AV only to
watch there shots bouncing off, even Jimmy's pop up rockets. The Lads start to
retreat back up the ally away from this firepower.

The AV picks up the Bad guys while lining up its Auto cannons on Lee who unlike
Rudd and Jimmy does not have the retreat option as he is standing in the middle
of the ally. He raises his rifle for a last futile return of fire before he is
blown away. He fires, he hits, where, the windscreen (only stopping power 20
unlike the rest of vehicle 40), he has 4D6+1 damage, he rolls and gets 20, the
window shatters and the pilot decides enough is enough and decides to bug out.
He has done his job and picked up the snatch team. He flies off leaving the 
lads in the possession of the field of battle.

The body's are checked and found to have no identifying documents or marks on
them. The party now moves to a new location elsewhere in the city, which
hopefully will be quieter.

Johnny's contacts inform the rest of the group that the rest of the group that
Alt was been held in a sub Tower of Arraska in downtown Nightcity. Johnny
suggests that he holds a concert in the park opposite the Tower. When he has 
the crowd under his control they use it to storm the tower. They get in under
cover of this and break Alt free. Rudd who was much taken with the firepower
of an AV-4 suggests they should land on the roof and approach the target from
the Top. In the end they decide to use a combined plan with some of lads
attacking from the Base (Lee, Ulrich and NPC's)) and the rest been landing on
the roof with Rudd as supporting firepower!

The concert is arranged for that evening and the word is put out on the street.
Johnny acquires an AV from a friend and entrusts it to Rudd who has told him
that he will have no problem flying it.
