A salesman at an electrical store was trying to sell items to 5 people entering the store. The salesman was a frightful bore and didn't make one sale, in fact all the customers quickly decided they wouldn't frequent that shop again. They had no wish to be retold the story of his wife's accident with the curling tongs.

What did the salesman try to sell to each person and for how much?

Prices: £200, £250, £275, £300, £400

1. The item Mr Brown was being convinced to buy was priced at exactly £100.00
more than the cooker.

2. Mrs Blade felt exceeding frustrated when the salesman did not allow her to ask questions about the cooker that he was trying to sell to her at a price higher than the freezer, which was not the cheapest.

3. The salesman really annoyed one lady when he insisted on trying to sell her a vacuum cleaner and told her this was an ideal birthday present for a husband to buy a wife.

4. The washing machine, which the salesman described as being "a creation God would be proud of," was priced at £275.00; he didn't try to sell this to Mr. Skate.
