8th August 2008
  • Got part two of the 2008 TRB Top 100 added, so that's games in positions 91 thru to 80 covered.

22nd July 2008
  • Time for another couple of reviews, this time all ending in -mania: Pac-mania and Clickmania.
20th July 2008
  • No reviews to mention, just people this time. I went to the Retro Fusion event in Leamington on Saturday and I met some corking people (in addition to meeting The Spectrum Games Bible's co-author Paul) - SirClive, uglifruit, marmito, jetsetwilly plus getting Jonathan Cauldwell to buy a copy of Book One! I also had chats with retro*gamer's very own editor Darran Jones (who is a v good bloke) and Simon Goodwin, he of the techy side of Crash magazine and now a Creative Director of Codemasters!

There were loads of other people too - such as the two who are making the retro computer museum whose names I can't remember and I had a long amiga-related conversation with woody.cool. Would definitely recommend going to the next one!

  • Finally, a big thanks to everyone who bought a copy of Book One or Book Two of The Spectrum Games Bible - you're all top people!
16th July 2008
  • A couple of reviews to make up for the lack of updates: Alien Highway and Pac-Man. More on the way!

  • Also added the first part of the 2008 TRB Top 100 - see what you think!
6th July 2008
  • Apologies for the lack of updates. I've been busy writing reviews for and editing The Spectrum Games Bible. On a side-note, I've now got 37 reviews to add to TRB and I'm also working on the latest Top 100.

  • A pair of different games here: One that wasn't released in the UK (Curro Jimenez) and one that's not been released at all (Existenz).

1st April 2008
  • No April Fool's joke! I've amended the nav-bar throughout the site, everso slightly changed the front page, amended the games index page and updated a couple of other pages, including debuting this years' Top 100 badge. No major shake-up, but I thought it was time for the static graphic nav-bar to go. Comments are welcome!
31st March 2008
  • To see out the end of March, here's Mad Mix reviewed for your pleasure.
15th March 2008
9th March 2008
  • A quintet of better than average games for you to peruse, which are (in alphabetical order): Exploding Wall, H.A.T.E. (from Matty), Skull, Spectron and Thrust.

  • I've also re-jigged the front page, to house the plug for the Spectrum Games Bible which I am co-editing with WoS forum contributor PSJ3809. I've tweaked a few other pages as well, as part of a gentle 'sharpening up' (not re-design) of the site. I am planning to slowly release the upgrades in between reviewing games, trying to get the new Top100 completed, attempting to have a life etc :-).

28th January 2008
  • Here's some Spanish pinball action in the form of Enchanted.

  • Also, here's a bit of self-promotion - TRB has been featured on page 100 of the latest issue (number 47) of Retro*Gamer magazine! UK Subscribers should have had their issue through the door today with the mag hitting WHSmith's on Feb 1st. Enjoy the rest of the mag too :D
24th January 2008
  • Another two reviews; Pitfall ZX and Mpthrilla.

  • I've also slightly tweaked the complete games index page so that the 1K & 4K Minigames plus the Unfinished Business demos get their own section at the bottom of the page.
17th January 2008
  • Two more reviews for January; one great, one a bit crap. Rough Justice and G.I. Tech, respectively.

  • I've also added a new element to the Misc section. It's called Unfinished Business. It's dedicated to unfinished games which are in a playable state. As I already had Doom, Mortal Kombat and Mario Islands, they've been moved into that section. I've also added Cybereal, Project X and Worms for now. More to follow no doubt ...
12th January 2008
  • Three more reviews for January; two original piles of turd and a licenced arcade adventure which is rather good. No, I'm not drunk. The games are: Cowboy Kidz, Merlin (courtesy of Matty - his first TRB review of 2008) and Garfield - Big, Fat, Hairy Deal.
2nd January 2008
  • Kicking off 2008 with one of the hideously awful Spectrum games ever - 1999. Also revel in the Russian elegance that is Magic Block.
1st January 2008
  • Happy New Year!!! No site updates, other than switching the '©2007' to '©2008' on the front page and a couple of other mini-maintenance tasks.
