Park at the forest track at NY608964 from where you can bike to NY6189867. Don't attempt the track heading NE from a bit further on - it deteriorates considerably before the end shown on the map and is impassable (the walk time below icludes about 20 mins for this detour) . Instead continue WNW to meet the waymarked track at Rushy Knowe. This continues NE directly to the summit cairn. (If walking rather than biking it is probably preferable to follow this track all the way from Deadwater).
