There is a parking area down the track signposted 'Footpath to Christanbury Crag' which is just before The Flatt farm at NY561785. From here you can bike on good tracks to the highest point at Twolads Crag where there are a couple of rides through the trees to the open fellside. I would not recommend the direct route to the trig point, as the going is very rough over uneven ground littered with fallen saplings. However by following the forest edge right (S) for a while, then trending SE you pick up a wall (then a fence) which can be followed all the way to the summit. It is about a half mile extra, but the going is far easier (this is the way I returned).
