Tosson Hill

Park at the triangle at NY987996 and follow the bridleway through Hepple Whitefield Farm, turning left immediately past it to follow a track SE to Round Plantation. Head S to the gate in the next field then SE on a grassy track to NY994988 where there is a gate onto the fell. There is an obvious track heading directly SSE up the hill past grouse butts which becomes more tenuous nearer the ridge but is ok. Once on the ridge make your way ESE through varying depths of heather to the summit outcrop topped by the trig point. Return by the same route.
