Park at Littlerig car park at NO173071 (see photo) and walk downhill to the field on the flanks of Third Hill. If the beck is in spate, head a short way N along the bank past a gorse bush where it divides and crossing is easier. Head either over or round Third Hill to the fence corner at NO026068 where a good fire break can be followed NE to pass a forest road end and continue generally NE to NO031072. Here, just past the highest point, the forest can be easily entered to get to the grassy summit of the hill.
