It is possible to drive up an unmarked forest track (which is wider than the approaching single track road) from the 354 spot height at SJ060226 to the forest edge at SJ056216. There are two gates, one at the start which was open and a second about half way which had a rope loop. There is also room to turn round at the end, from which the trig point is about 15 min away. It is surrounded by deep heather on very uneven ground but there is a bit of a track approaching the trig point from the NW.
