From the car park at SH698153 there are two alternatives. Ann Bowker says in her
‘Lesser Hills of North Wales' that a direct ascent of the hill took 20 mins. This was presumably by following the path bearing NW and ascending somewhere before the forest. The occupant of the farm (& B&B) directly N of the car park whom I met having descended this way was most put out that I had been on the hill and had climbed over the (high) walls on the way. The alternative route is to follow the track NE past the Equestrian Centre and ascend the hill from the SE. There is also a good track from Kings YH.
(55 mins, 1.6 miles, 500’ of ascent)
