There is parking for several cars within a few yards of the track starting at SH893105. This grouse covered vehicle track can be followed up an unmarked track which climbs along the northern side of the stream to around 878107 from where the unmarked summit is easily attained. This track was more obvious than the bridleway marked on the Landranger map going through Craig-For.
