I went up from Parc-y-Rhiw, not on the bridleway shown on the map (which was not visible on the ground) – a route not to be recommended when bracken is rampant. According to the friendly local of this B&B, there is a car park near Llyn Mawr (possibly around SN012972) from where an easy path leads to the hill.

(1 hour, 2 miles, 750’ of ascent by my route, 260’ from the car park)
