Traveller's Tales 1996

Each year seems to have a theme. Two years ago it was Romans, remember that? Last year it seemed to be flowers. This year is  certainly megalithic: the stone age, medieval towns and castles. To depart from the normal procedure of taking the whole year in order, I'm going to look at it from these aspects: the megalithic sites and the medieval towns and castles in Normandy and Brittany.

Megaliths

Mom and I have been to most of the main megalithic sites in northwestern Europe this year, I think: Carnac, Stonehenge and Avebury. These are all magical places.
