Here's a fairly standard picture of the River Dee at Llangollen. It was a beautiful day and we really enjoyed ourselves there Unfortunately, it was the last nice day for a while

This was the bridge over the canal for entry to the site. The towpath walk was a really nice way to get into town.
We tried one holiday to South Wales in August but it was so wet - torrential rainfall! - that we turned round and came back the next day. August was terrible here this year - either too hot or too wet.
In September we tried again. We had a couple of nights booked in a hotel in Prestatyn on the North Wales coast, and we decided to go and camp the evening before, and then continue the holiday camping.
The first day we stopped in Llangollen at this really nice campsite.
