The first records of H&DSC are from 1927, since then the club has gone from strength to strength.  We are now a flourishing club with nearly 200 members, 2 club houses, a nice tidy boat yard, plenty of moorings and a slack handful of grumpy old men (and women).  H&DSC was formed formed by gentlemen but turned into a working mans sailing club, today it works very hard to maintain this, we believe we are one of the best value sailing clubs in the country.  You won't find any stewards or paid employees here, just a bunch of people who work very hard to make H&DSC the great organisation it is.
