Race Results 2011
Presidents Cup
Winner – Didge Everitt in Willow.
Held on 24th September. 3 Leg Race. In the rivers and Harbour entrance. Various marks in the Orwell, Stour and Dovercourt Bay.
Commodores Cup Winner -
Adey Pells in Raffles.
His last winning race in that boat before parting with it. Held on 8th May This was the first race of the season when the weather was good. 5 Starters.
Constance Perry Cup
Winner - Mike Dougans Irella III.
Race held on 30th July A bit like the Americas Cup. Skippered by Adey Pells who no longer had Raffles. Crewed by Graham Turner. No sign of Dougie. Course took the boats out to the Ridge and the Bay. 5 starters
Colonel Ward Cup
Winners Joint owners of Get Crackin Barry Male and Gavin Antliff.
Race Held on 4th June. Stour River Race. 3 entrants Strong tides against starters only the one vessel finished.
Harwich Borough Cup
Winner - Didge Everitt in Willow.
3 entrants. Race held 10th Sept. Strong winds that day. Racing round the cans in Orwell and the Stour.
Paul Carter Cup
Winners - Barry Mail in Get Crackin
Race held on 21st May 4 Entrants. An offshore race
Vice Commodore’s Points Award
Winner - Barry Mail with Get Crackin.
Achieved a total of 23 Points for the racing season. Points given for all entrants and to crew etc. To encourage families and partners.
