Dick's (or rather, his wife's
to be honest) 1962 Gretsch 6120. This is early enough not to be actually
called a "Nashville" but it helps to distinguish it from the
more commonly known 6120 description which tends to apply to the single
cutaway, Duane Eddy type. Dick found this hanging on a wall of a London
shop and totally fell in love with it. It looks like it was built months
ago rather than forty years or so - there's barely a mark on it. The
neck is on a par with Warren's Casino and that's saying something!
Needless to say, it wasn't exactly cheap, so Dick begged and pleaded and
suggested to Jacqui that it would probably be reasonable investment!
Since she had plans to put some money into an ISA or something like
that, she figured it would likely be no riskier than taking a chance
with that, what with the stock market behaving the way it is these days.
So Dick "borrows" it now and again when Jacqui's not looking!
