‘ENDANGERED WITHOUT LOVE’

The series is ongoing and will form a collection including oil on canvas, pencil and charcoal work, and some smaller watercolours. One of the paintings has been featured in the publication ‘A Masterclass in Drawing and Painting Animals’.
The series of work, entitled ‘Endangered Without Love’, began with my love of the gentle Orangutan.  Threatened by massive habitat loss and persecution by human captors, it’s the same old story of profit and greed, ignorance and indifference.  My heart breaks at the thought that, one day, these enchanting creatures may be gone forever, thanks to mankind!  My first painting was this oil on canvas ‘Sorry!’, though it isn’t the baby orangutan that is apologising!
