The Wicked Apprentice AKA Emma Simcock-Tooth

...and no matter how long Olivia and Emma spend on their outfits they never manage to outdo the splendour of

Linda The Gothic Chicken...

Kindred spirits Olivia and Emma were brought together by their shared love of big dresses and pet poultry.

One of their most memorable early meetings was on the 199 steps up to Whitby Abbey when to Olivia's amazement Emma was descending towards her proudly carrying Linda the exquisite homely silky-pekin who had just been taking a turn about the abbeys lawns.

From that moment they were destined to be good friends, having each found someone who would listen to all the drama about their feathered friends! These two ladies can sometimes be found buried under pounds of taffeta, antique lace and jet beads, clucking to one another...

You may commission one of The Wicked Lady's creations here - parasols, accessories or extravagant complete costumes. The Wicked Lady also appears at Whitby Gothic Weekend and other selected events throughout the year.

The Wicked Lady takes on only a select few dress commissions a year as she only works with very special clients and contact is strictly through your guide, The Wicked Apprentice - Emma Simcock-Tooth to you.

The creation of a Wicked dress or costume is a very intense one to one process between Olivia and yourself, but an audience with Olivia is only by very special arrangement.

Please note, the dresses on this website are purely intended as a taster of what The Wicked Lady can do. Each dress is a unique creation not a reproduction.

Please feel free to email The Wicked Apprentice, with any queries or requests etc. This is the gateway to a truly magical experience...

Emma knew Olivia was the only person who could make her wedding dress when she first saw her in a pannier dress sweep past a young man whose long hair became caught in her huge crimson hat and he was literally dragged across the room while Olivia's hat stayed perfectly poised by some otherworldly mechanism and the lady was entirely unruffled!
