CONCERN FOR JUSTICE FUND
PO BOX 17024 EH12 8ZF

Dear Friends,

Concern for Justice was set up in the aftermath of the 1996 Sheriff Court Case of P.F. v. Donald Macleod, at which the Sheriff in his excursory remarks condemned named persons of conspiracy, lying and perverting the course of justice. These remarks were and continue to be widely publicised and may be so in perpetuity. Some of those named were not even present in court and were unable to defend their names and reputations from the slur cast upon them by the Sheriff and subsequently broadcast by the media. Concern for Justice seeks to clear the names of those so condemned.

The committee of Concern for Justice has over the past 3 years incurred substantial expense which has been borne by a few individuals. Progress to date has been slow but we are convinced that eventually truth will prevail, and that the grave injustice of this case will be corrected.

The Free Church of Scotland recently affirmed that it has closed the case forever, even to the extent of destroying papers relevant to it.

Concern for Justice is a secular organisation and intends to continue its quest for justice in the public rather than the ecclesiastical domain. It will seek to extricate the Macleod case from the smokescreen of Free Church politics, and to centre it on the miscarriage of justice which took place at the trial. Concern for Justice is chaired by Mrs Agnes Mackenzie, who is a retired solicitor and former lecturer in law.

There will be a public meeting in the Inverness Thistle Hotel, Milburn Rd., Inverness from 7 pm - 9 pm on Friday 3rd September 1999 at which Mrs Agnes Mackenzie will speak, D.V.

The work of Concern for Justice inevitably involves expense, and we would respectfully urge you to support us financially in our important task of seeking redress for those wronged in this case. Please make a donation to:
