The landscape of Cumbria provides endless inspiration for visual artists. There are many galleries around the region which offer visual art for sale.
I trained at Leeds College of Art and the University of Leeds. The inspiration for my own work is landscape based, both representational and abstract. I use a variety of media including painting, photography, drawing and mixed media. The stone circles of Cumbria and the many slate quarries in the area have had a big influence on my work. I have also via research into Stone Circles, become interested in myth, ritual, symbolism and the concepts of death and rebirth.
Below are a few examples of my work.
