This is the
debut CD from young songwriter and performer Clovis Phillips, released
this month on Newtown High School Music Dept.'s CerddNewydd label.
After months in the making, the 5 track E.P. of laid back, infectious songs is now available. Not only has the 17 year old written all the music, he has also recorded, mastered, mixed and produced the CD himself, and played all the instruments!
A recent BBC Wales online article about Clovis described the teenager as having a 'deserved reputation for inteligent musical endeavour.' Link to the article.
The E.P. features guest appearances from jazz pianist Sam Chappell, and up-and-coming Northumbrian folk singer Sarah Hayes.
