I once saw a violin with inturned corners, and, frankly, it just looked as if it had been sucking on a lemon. So the challenge here was to make a violin with inturned corners that has style, elegance, and balance.
I designed it at the same time as I was working on my J4 Jazz/Swing violins, which have an air of functionality, where as the Cherub, was a flight of fancy.
It looks as if it is a newly found treasure from the 18th Century, but is completely brand new. This will make it acceptable to all musical genres. It will certainly turn a few heads, especially when you hear how good it sounds.
