Home Page [Page last updated: 04-Jul-2008] Welcome to the Web Site of Thornbury Lawn Tennis Club. We are situated in Thornbury, South Gloucestershire, 12 miles northwest of Bristol. The club is set in an attractive, rural spot at the far end of the Mundy Playing Fields. The grounds are spacious, with a clubhouse, and 4 all-weather courts, all of which are floodlit and newly repainted. We also have regular use of 4 public courts which are adjacent to our club. The club house is modern with kitchen facilities, changing rooms, and a large communal area. There is disabled access to the tennis courts and into the tennis club, but as yet there are no special facilities within the clubhouse. Parking is available close by in the general Mundy Playing Fields carpark. Access to this carpark is via Kington Lane (off Castle Street). DAVIS CUP - Friday September 19th Thornbury Tennis Club is running a trip to the Davis Cup tie v Austria at Wimbledon, Court One, to see the two opening singles. Tickets to include seat plus return bus fare are £44 for Club members, £46 for member's partners and Club guests. For those quick enough to book before Friday, June 27th, Juniors can have a ticket for only £28! The bus leaves from Thornbury Gillingstool at 7:30am and returns promptly at close of play.
