Visitors are most welcome on our moorings which can take boats up to 13m.
We recommend that, particularly with longer / wider yachts you book a visitors berth in advance with the moorings officer. on 07913391950. Unless you have arranged a mooring in advance please moor on the east end "hammer head" or alternatively in any south side berth showing a green triangle and then contact the moorings officer or any Club member . Because it is a club and not a marina we have habitually relied on the honesty of visitors to leave their mooring fees in the safe which you will find in the wooden cabinet at the bottom of the access gangway. When you arrive you should find a Club key in the same cabinet together with a visitors pack. The pack provides detailed information . The key is for the two security gates to the pontoons and to the door to the showers and toilet section of the club house. The door for the showers and loos is the second one in the building ( nearest the concrete block house and furthest from the access gangway ) The first door one you come to after walking up the access gangway is the club’s committee room and is alarmed so please do not enter. When leaving our moorings would you leave the key in the cabinet and after completing a visitors form with boat, skipper and owners details , leave it with the mooring fee in the safe at the bottom of the cabinet. Whilst staying on our moorings you are a visitor member of our Club which allows you to use water ( and electricity at an extra £1 a day ) and attendance at any social event that may be taking place. Please contact the moorings officer for help and any other information you need. Banks, chandlers, shops, restaurants, pubs, taxis, buses and railway stations are literally less than a ten minute walk from the moorings. MOORING CHARGES FOR 2008 ARE £0.70 PER 0.5 METRE PER DAY OR £3.50 PER 0.5 METRE PER WEEK. |
