St Swithun's

We are a church family who gather to worship and serve God in the beautiful village of Bathford on the east side of the City of Bath in the UK. We offer you a warm welcome to browse our site or to join us at any of our services or activities.

St. Swithun's exists to enable people to explore the Christian claims for themselves in their own way and to respond to God appropriately. As such we provide a variety of different styles of service as well as small groups both for children and adults. We also pray each week for the life of our parish and the wider community. The church is always open during the week (apart from school holidays) should you wish to visit us and just spend a few moments in peace and quiet.

Church Council

The St Swithun's church council is the decision making body for church policy. It comprises members of the church family and meets about 9 times a year and. Much of the detailed discussion and preparatory work goes on in sub-committees. These include; Children and Young People, Mission, Music and Worship, Finance, Fabric, Outreach, Pastoral and Stewardship.

Wheelchair access to St Swithun's

Wheelchair access to St Swithun's is now a lot easier following the purchase and installation of two pairs of ramps for the front door steps. These are relatively light to move and easy to operate. If you think you may need to operate them, please have a word with a Church Warden or a member of the Fabric Committee.
