BRIGHOUSE

FORWARD

Our Partnership has come together from local voluntary & community groups to set a strategic and overall, popular vision for the Greater Brighouse Area. Further to develop a community strategy which brings together plans, partnerships and initiatives so mainstream service providers can work more effectively to meet local needs. We aim to develop a Public Service Agreement with the Local Authority, through the most effective path, which provides for the best interests & needs of the Brighouse area.

Our Partnership has a number of voluntary Community Committees, of which 4 deal with particular areas or themes of local interest. These Committees will propose and evaluate matters in their own right and scrutinize thematic public service delivery in the Greater Brighouse Area.

Community Committees

  1. TLC Committee. Dealing with all aspects of Tourism, Leisure, Culture and Regeneration. Strategic, industrial and future visions for our area.

  2. Brighouse Community Forum. The focal point for our many and diverse voluntary groups.
  3. The 3 B's. The vibrant voice for our local retail businesses and Town Centre development.
  4. The Brighouse Road Safety Committee. (NonPartner). Dealing with road safety and highways matters.

In addition to the Community Committees and local residents, neighbourhood or community action groups, other voting and consultative bodies of Brighouse Forward include:

Voting Board Members

The Local Authority, Brighouse Shop-watch, Brighouse Pub-watch, national retailers, industrial & large local employers, Brighouse Chamber of Commerce, High School's Councils, Churches, Brighouse Civic Trust, Brighouse Town twinning organisations.

Advisory Board Members
