Chicken Roundabout - The Book.

Inspired by the real Chicken Roundabout, and illustrated with digitaly enhanced location images, this delightful, and very funny book tells the story of the roundabout from the chicken’s perspective.

The chicken’s home is an old railway carriage in the back garden of a redundant gate-keeper’s cottage on the long gone Waveney Valley Railway line. Thier keeper, Old Gertie, is an eccentric old spinster and something of a recluse.

Apart from Old Gertie’s appalling cooking and some chicken hating neighbours, the chicken’s lives are nigh on perfect, until one awful day they discover  Old Gertie being evicted because there is to be a bypass built slap bang  through the middle of their home.

Told with humour throughout the story follows the chickens as they argue,complain and blunder their way through all manner of difficulties, but stubbornly refuse to leave as they learn to carry on with life in the fast lane.
