Chicken Roundabout made national news when the council, worried over health and safety issues, tried to have the flock removed from the roundabout. This sparked off a protest by the locals who have become very fond of the birds. Some even dressed up as chickens and held a protest on the roundabout itself!
The ‘Chicken Man’ was nominated for a T.V. Show as an animal champion and appeared on the television, recognition which he truly deserves!
More recently there has been concerns over rustling and possible poisoning of the chickens...is there no limit to how low some people can get?

Latest news is that sadly the end is nigh... Following a prolonged period of cruelty
towards the chickens resulting in a huge decline in numbers the chicken man has decided
that he can’t carry on seeing the birds suffer any more and has decided reluctantly
to have the birds removed and re-
