Welcome to the village of Ditchingham, home to the famous Chicken Roundabout. Ditchingham is a quiet little village located in the heart of the Waveney valley on the Norfolk-Suffolk border. It is an old place and has both ancient neolithic burial grounds and the site of an old Roman bath within its parish. H Rider-Haggard, the late author of ‘King Solomon’s Mines’ lived and farmed in the village and his daughter Lilias was also known for editing ‘I Poached by Night’ and ‘The Rabbit Skin Cap’, both books about local characters. However in this section we will be taking a fun look at some of Ditchingham’s less well known treasures.
