For the ‘Mature’
Lunch Clubs
We are involved in running monthly lunch clubs for the over 70’s in Kingham and for the over 65’s in Churchill. A strong team of helpers organise and cook a meal, arrange transport for those needing it and even take some meals to homes when members are unable to attend.
The Kingham Club has been operating for many years and has a monthly attendance of around 40-50, meeting in the Village Hall on each third Thursday of the month.
The Churchill Club was only started fairly recently, has a smaller number making it a cosier experience, and meets in the All Saints’ meeting room on the 4th Tuesday of the month at noon.
Tuesday Circle
Meeting on the first Tuesday of each month (March to December) at 2:30 p.m. at Churchill Methodist Chapel, Tuesday Circle is a fellowship group aimed especially, though not exclusively, at those who find it difficult to get to Sunday church services and Home Groups. The Chapel is used because it has excellent facilities and has the easiest access for those not so good on their feet. The meetings alternate between a Prayer Book communion service (with hymns, tea and a chat) and a social event.
