I offer PC computer related services to charities and friends in the London area, free of charge except for the reimbursement of certain costs:
- Artwork for Publications
Diagrams and sketches for screen or ink-jet based publications (but not full colour reproductions for professional printing with separate plates). - Computer software training/troubleshooting
Help with organising files, basic house-keeping, simple operations and training in the use of any of the programs I own. - Database Design
The development of a simple database using a wordprocessor or spreadsheet, setting up merge facilities for lists and labels, or a relational database using a program such as Access or Paradox. You must own a copy of the program you wish to use . More information - Preparing graphics for the Web
The preparation and enhancement of bitmap graphics files for putting on the web, starting from an already scanned copy or digital photography; rotating, cropping, resizing, and touching up photos and other bitmap images (lightening, sharpening, removal of defects such as Moire or red-eye)
Simple graphics, such as buttons or diagrams created from scratch.
Production of animated GIF files or simple Flash movies. - Newsletters & Brochures
Preparation of booklets, newsletters, business cards, complex tables. Straightforward typing is not on offer, a touch typist would do much better. - Spread-sheeting
Spread-sheeting used as a tool can be useful for lists, simple accounts, databases, merge data files, presentation of data in graphic form for presenting at meetings. Setting up or basic instruction, but not routine updating. - Web Site Design & Implementation
Preparing a straight-forward web site. My approach to pages is to keep them simple, accessible and fast loading. More information
